Secrets Of Good Writing Style

Grammar use is one of the core elements of developing good writing style.
If you are a beginner and do not want where to start you should first focus on good and plain grammar which will help you structure good and clear sentences. One should remember that his readers are busy and are reading the document for a specific purpose. They do not want to be slowed down with unnecessary words or hard-to-decipher sentence structures. Keep your reader's purpose in mind, so that you can keep his or her attention long enough to get your message across. Business writers often say the same thing twice, changing the wording so the second iteration sounds like it is new information, but it is not.
Although most of us have been told to write conversationally, it is important to remember that many phrases we typically use in conversations don't add any meaning to a sentence. An important aspect of your writing is tone and diction. While your work may be grammatically correct you need to choose words carefully, follow the rules of parallelism and avoid certain ways of writing so that your message gets across to the reader clearly and pleasantly.
It is important to develop your vocabulary or your knowledge about words if you are to write clearly and well. The more number of words you know, the more choice you have in selecting the correct one. Use the dictionary whenever possible, it is an indispensable tool to learning word use. For example, jargon is the name used for technical words used in a document. Each specialisation has a group of words which are peculiar to its subject and express certain technical concepts and procedures.
