When it comes to talking to women, one of the best ways to keep their interest is with storytelling. Telling stories is something that men do all the time, but they never stop to realize just how effective it is in capturing the attention of a woman.

And when men discover the secret of storytelling, they often create mental barriers that they wouldn't otherwise create hadn't they known about its power. Here's what I mean.

When men start to develop their line of stories that they want to share with women, they often think that their stories must be true and about themselves. This is absolutely not the case 100% of the time. The main thing you need to focus on when delivering your story is that its fun, and that it can keep the conversation going. If you have these 2 elements, then you're 80% there.

And believe it or not, sometimes when your story is true, a woman will still not believe it, for one reason or another - especially if its entertaining. But whether she believes you or not, whenever you tell another one of your stories, you will more than likely be engaged and actively listening to what you have to say.

But before I continue, you should know that the best and most compelling stories derive from true events. So I'm not encouraging you to lie, just be funny, and make your story hilarious.

And when making your story hilarious, keep in mind how you tell the story. One of the best ways to tell a woman about you is to show it - not say it. So instead of telling her I'm funny, confident, and cute - show her all of those things will a simple yet funny story.

This can be about yourself, something you've seen, or someone else you know. Don't be so concerned about the content of your story. Be more concerned with your energy, your expressions, and your language. These things alone can say more than simple conversation. It's like painting a picture for her. And we all know that pictures say a thousand words. So as soon as she sees your picture, she gets you instantly.

But as soon as men start to feel confident and start having success with women, they seem to think that they need to stop doing the things that they were doing - that made them attractive to the woman in the first place.

This is the number 1 cause in my book for the failing of relationships.

You can never stop doing what works once you start having success. This is the surest way to lose all of the skills that you've developed. And once this has happened, you're back to being the guy who doesn't know how to attract women - including your own.

So once you've learned and mastered the art of storytelling, keep practicing it forever. This is a skill that can take you a long way in life, including having success on the job, with friends, and of course - with women.

But lets for a second take a look at what storytelling is. Storytelling is mere conversation, but the highlighting of certain details to make it sound more interesting. You can do this with your delivery, the words you choose, and your body language.

One of the best things about storytelling is that if it's funny, it can make women feel comfortable around you. Because of this, many stories on their behalf are likely to follow, which will only lead to a ton of other subject matters to talk about.

And this is very important, because it can be a great way to save a boring conversation. Nothing is more awkward than the 5-second silence after you've finished talking about something. When you're on the phone with a women, if she's ever asked you why you're so quiet, then this is why. There's too many 5-second silences, and even though you may have been talking for over an hour - this is the only question that she can seem to come up with.

You want to avoid this situation as much as possible. One answer to this problem is to make the conversation shorter, much shorter. But that's a topic for another day.

With a ton of stories at your disposal, you can feel more confident when talking to women. You don't have to worry about not having things to say, and its great for eliminating fear and nervousness when walking up to women.
