Do Some Cell Phone Users Drive You Crazy?

Cell phones are not a fad. The sale of cell phones continues to grow each year. The age of cell phone owners continue to drop as well where now we even have young school kids with their designer phones. Are we beginning to cross the line with throwing common sense out the window?

I try to do my part for the environment so I ride a bus to work each day to not only save gas but to help my pocket book. Riding the bus so early in the morning does have its advantages. Most, I repeat most folks just want to close their eyes and rest while on the road to work. Why is it that someone thinks they need to talk on the cell phone at 6 in the morning? They just left that person. Can't they wait until they get off the bus in about an hour?

There are several types of "talkers" on cell phones. There is the type that talks so low that I am not sure they even hear themselves talking much less the person on the other end. Then you have the person who talks quietly trying not to disturb those around them. If you are trying to catch a few winks on the bus, they can still be annoying but at least they make an attempt to tone it down.

Then we have the person who thinks everyone wants to listen to their stupid, insane conversation especially at 6 a.m. They seem oblivious to everyone around them. I keep waiting for someone to remove their phone and shove it down their throats but so far everyone is civil on the bus. However the old saying "if looks could kill" definitely is be projected to this person or persons. Do you think they care? No, they just keep on yakking.

So many people are into texting today. Riding the bus gives one the opportunity to see all the newest and latest cell phones that are out there. It is like having a showroom of phones but only on a moving bus. I am not sure why but you seem to be able to identify the folks who have unlocked phones versus those from the carriers. They seemed to a tab more arrogant and project the image "my phone is better than your".

I try to see just what is the most popular brand locked or unlocked phone. I think Nokia seems to have the edge. I don't own a unlocked phone. My phone is from one of the major carrier, Verizon but all the other carriers pretty much have the same phones to choose from.

The Apple iPhone owners truly have their noses up in the air. Yeah, the iPhone is pretty cool but do they really have to act like they are better than all of us? Being impressed with those who own an iPhone has now gone toward being more resentful over the actions.

Bottom-line, cell phones are here to stay. It is time that we start treating our fellow beings with courtesy and respect when we have to use the phone in public. Sooner or later if we don't sell monitor and control this situation, then big brother will step. We all know how "helpful) big brother can be.
