It's interesting to me how many people who start a home based business failing the first few months of their endeavors. For most of us it is the "Get rich quick" mentality and the lure of easy money. We probably had someone approached us with an opportunity to make us rich quick. We go great guns for the first few weeks. Spending day after day buying leads, knocking on doors and handing out business cards. Followed by night after night of lets get together and I'll show you how to get rich quick home meetings. We jump on the bandwagon because of the easy money and were tired of the 8 to 5 job. The opportunity sounded so appealing at the time because we were so vulnerable.

Not knowing anything about selling or advertising we order up boxes and boxes of product and store them in a back bedroom or the garage. Moving the kids in with each other or parking the car in the driveway or street. We step back and look at all those boxes and say "this will make us rich soon". Weeks go by. Months go by and the kids are still fighting over their space and the car is still in the street. We've asked every friend and family member over for those meetings till our savings are gone, our knuckles are raw we're ready to throw in the towel cause we just can't take anymore punch and cookies.

Why is this so true? For some of us this works but, for the majority it just causes more frustration and pain. We feel like a failure. Embarrassed to face our family, friends and co-workers. It's not that we didn't work hard. We worked our butts off. What went wrong? Well I'll tell you what went wrong. We lacked the basic knowledge and skills to market our business. We've got to remember it's not about the idea, opportunity or product. Sure they may be the greatest thing since the wheel. I'm not saying there not. All I'm saying is it's all about the MARKETING! How we present our advertising makes all the difference in the world! How we present ourselves is very important also. We all have or will face
the same obstacles. Knowing the answers and solutions to the obstacles is what it's about. Learning the tips, tools and techniques of the masters in the business are our keys to success. We don't have to have a degree in marketing to be successful. We just need the basic skills that have been proven to work time after time by the Leaders of the industry.
