Sony Ericsson has changed the pattern and function of mobile phones and the Sony Ericsson W series is the truth example of it because Sony Ericsson gives Walkman function in every of its W series mobile phone. Users can also send and receive SMS, E-mails and MMS via fully loaded W series mobile phones.

Sony Ericsson is known for good quality music and unique design phones. Finally, Sony Ericsson launched its W series in 2005 and this series is known as the Walkman series. The new Sony Ericsson W series phones include the Sony Ericsson W850i, W960i, W910 Black and many more. All of these music devices have brilliant and dedicated music player with superb sound quality output. Now we would talk about some of the W series mobile phones. The Sony Ericsson W series is a worldwide music phone series.

The Sony Ericsson W910i is sleek and ultra-stylish, sliding handset. It is 2G and 3G enabled mobile phone which helps user to access internet without hassles and gives freedom of connected always. The slider phones weighs only 86 grams and 99 x 50 x 12.5 mm dimensions make it monster.

It has large 2.4 inches TFT, 256k colour screen which gives a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels for easy viewing of video clips and playing games. The W910i comes with 40 MB internal memory and the users can expand memory via a Micro (M2) memory stick. The phone supports all types connectivity such as GPRS, HSCSD, EDGE, 3G, Bluetooth technology and USB 2.0 port that allow the users to connect the phone to internet and other Bluetooth compatible devices easily. The next phone in Walkman series is the Sony Ericsson W850i it is also slider handset with sleek and elegant design. This music phone comes with a Walkman 2.0 music player, TrackID music recognition and intelligent FM radio with RDS technology. It has a 2 mega pixel camera with flash which gives a resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels and a secondary camera for video calling. The Sony Ericsson W850i comes in two vibrant colour include Precious Black and Golden White. It comes with 16 MB internal memory and memory can expand via Memory stick Duo Pro. Users can stored up to 1000 contacts in Phonebook and it give details last 30 received, dialled and missed calls. It has GPRS, 3G, Bluetooth technology, Infrared port and USB port for easy connecting with computer and other devices. Standard battery gives up to 7 hours of talktime on one time fully charged and 350 hours of standby time, respectively.

On the other hand, the Sony Ericsson W960i is slim and sophisticated handset. It has a large 2.6 inches TFT touchscreen which gives a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels with 256K high colour. The touchscreen offers Handwriting recognition feature for added security and fun. The W960i has 3.2 mega pixel autofocus camera with flash and it also facilitates video recording on QVGA mode at 15fps. The phone's secondary camera facilitates calls all over the world. It has Touch Walkman player, FM radio with RDS and TrackID recognition which gives unstoppable music every time anywhere. The standard battery, Li-Po 900 mAh (BST-33) provide approximate 370 hours of standby time and up to 9 hours of talktime, respectively.

The Sony Ericsson W series is not known only for the music but it also known for good camera and fully multimedia functionality with easy navigation keys making it simpler to use.
