Birthday Reminders

One of the jobs of any company that wants to pull closer to their customers is to find different ways to show their customers that they care. This can come in all sorts of different formats, and many companies start up newsletters for just such an occasion.

Now, the primary point of this article is to talk about how you can use a person's birthday as a means of generating this very trust. With the right kind of custom postcards sent out to talk about a special deal to only those with their birthday that day, you can accomplish a number of effective goals.

But first I want to go over just a little the true nature of this practice of pulling close to your customers, and why you should consider it in a wide variety of forms, including the use of birthdays.

Stop and ask yourself how close you really feel to the places that you shop. There are very few companies that I can think of off the top of my head that I feel any real relationship with. I shop there and I might like the atmosphere but that's really where it all ends. If I see a good enough deal somewhere else I'm going to go to the other store, because savings are what matters most to me.

Here's the truth of the situation: you aren't likely to always have the best selection or always have the lowest price possible. There might come another store that has some item you don't, or offers certain items at lower prices. Even if this is just about them having a particular sale, for that period of time while the sale is going on unless you offer your own competing sale, they will have a lower price at that time.

This is your competition and this is what you need to fight against. The best way to do so is by finding other methods to strike up good relationships with your customers. You need to show them that you care more about them than just their money, and by doing so, you'll get people who simply want to go to you first.

This is where custom postcard printing come in as a possible avenue for that. You not only give them a special deal, but by referring to them by name and even sending out the postcard on their birthday you're showing that out of all your customers you're able to pin point each specific one to give them a birthday special.

These are the kinds of gestures that will make your name known among your customers. If you can find enough methods like this to strike up a better, more long lasting relationship with your customers than you'll never have to worry about them going to that other store just to save a few dollars.
