Can Grown Ups Grow Taller?

The answer to that is yes, grown ups can become taller. Most people can grow taller even when they are grown ups and have passed puberty growing age. There are a number of ways to increase your height and if you do it properly, there is still potential for you to increase your vertical height. In order for that to happen, you must eat correctly, perform proper exercises, stretches and consume good supplements.

Begin by checking your posture. Our spine accounts for about 35% of our current height and if we have a poor posture we are not maximizing our natural height. So keep a straight back and look up to immediately seem to gain a few inches vertically. This is why you see catwalk models strut with almost perfect postures when they are on stage.

In order to grow taller, you must consume sufficient proteins, vitamins and minerals as protein is the fundamental nutrient for cellular growth. Protein is responsible for the growth and repair of every cell in our body. Good protein sources are beef, fish and eggs. You may even want to supplement with protein powders if you are an active person who exercises regularly.

As for vitamins and minerals, you can get them from eating a lot of vegetables and fruits. If necessary, take multi vitamin supplements as well. You should also drink plenty of milk for its calcium content as calcium is a very important mineral for repairing and strengthening your bones.

However, for your body to use calcium more efficiently, you must have enough vitamin D. To have sufficient vitamin D is easy, just stay under the sun for 15 to 20 minutes a day as exposure to sunlight helps our body to produce more vitamin D. Also, do take note that alcohol, cigarettes, artificial sweeteners and refined sugars are calcium inhibitors. So stay away from them as much as possible.

You can also increase your height by doing the right stretching exercises everyday. Go and do your research and you will find many grow taller resources and programs that include the right exercises for you to do.

One such highly recommended exercise is swimming. As swimming is a non impact sport, you will not be subjected to the gravitation force that can compress your spine to make you shorter. On the contrary, because swimming works on many muscle parts and its stretching motions pull your joints longer, it can actually decompress your spine thus stretching it longer to increase your height.

There are many supplements in the market that may help you to grow taller if you combined them with the right food consumption and exercises. My personal favorites are natural testosterone and human growth hormones releasers which contain ingredients such as L-Arginine, L-Lysine, L-Ornithine and Glutamine amongst others.

These supplements help your body to produce more of your own natural testosterone and growth hormones. Because these are natural ingredients and have relatively little or no side effects, they are readily available in drugstores without medical prescription.

So can grown ups increase their height even after growing age? The answer is yes if you know how to and get to do it right.
