Going on a trip? No room for the laptop, or maybe you just don't feel like working on the trip?

You KNOW you will end up finding something or seeing something that you have to get down on paper, some little idea that has to be published in some way.

Have no fear! You have everything you need to make sure you don't forget that important idea.

"I guess it's time to take this PDA out of the box. I wonder if it still works after 2 years." You can put tons of info on a PDA, why do you ever bother to bring the laptop? Are you afraid of the PDA? Start using it; you'll be surprised at how much you can actually do with it. And forget the date book. You have to actually look at a date book for it to be effective. With a PDA you don't have to look, it will "sing" or "beep" and TELL you it's time to do something. I never did understand the date book concept. I use mine to record things I have already done for future reference.

"Oh boy, now where is that PDA? I must have left it in the car. I think I have a notepad and pen here somewhere." Gee, what a novel idea!! No batteries required.

"Oh no! Who would have thought I would leave the little notebook and the PDA in the hotel room. This dinner would have been great if I had brought one of them. I just know I will forget what that little statue in the corner looks like without it... Excuse me, could you pass me that napkin? Does anyone have a pen?"

Now we're back to basics. "I hope I don't forget and leave this on the table!"
