Dare to Be Bold - Part 2

Now that I'm old and treacherous, I look back on some of the things I learned by just jumping in and doing that taught me more than all the sitting and thinking could ever teach. When you dare to be bold, magic can happen.

Many years ago, I was at a baseball game, and this really gorgeous girl was sitting alone. I was an ignorant boy at the time, but something possessed me to do SOMETHING. So, I walked up to her, did a 'take', pointed at her and yelled out, "UGLY! UGLY!" Everybody looked and laughed (I was willing to make a complete fool out of myself), and she was hysterical with laughter, not to mention a little red in the face from all the attention. I sat down next to her, said, "I'm gonna keep you company, out of pity for you". She introduced herself and said, "NOBODY has ever said that to me before. I bet you're the type of guy who knows just what to say to a girl!"

I actually didn't have a clue, but she thought I did, which did wonders for my ego. Nothing ever came of it because I was young, ignorant and had no way to follow up.

Here's the lesson I learned: I interrupted her state, got her laughing and acted immediately to capitalize on the bold opening I dared to try. It changed my attitude towards women and myself permanently because I'll always remember the look in her eyes, shining and beaming at me.

If you're willing to learn a default action for each step of the way, you'll find yourself being very successful with women out of habit. Dare to be bold.
