Is There A Home Remedy For Acne?

A quick look on any search engine for the phrase acne home remedy will bring up millions of pages. Take some time and examine some of these pages and you will be confused for sure. The one thing most of these pages have in common is disinformation. You can go into your kitchen right now and check your refrigerator and cupboards and you probably have a half dozen or so items that are so called acne home remedies. Lets take a look at some of things people are being told to do.

Orange peel remedy: Pound the orange peel with water on a piece of stone, then, put that solution on the affected area.

Honey and cinnamon remedy: Make a paste by mixing honey and cinnamon powder. Apply this paste on the pimples before sleeping and wash it next morning with warm water.

Lemon remedy: Take the fresh juice of a lemon and apply to the affected area.

Apple cider vinegar remedy: Dilute the apple cider vinegar in water by one part vinegar and three to four parts of water. Apply the solution directly to your skin with clean cotton, and leave it there for ten minutes. After ten minutes, rinse off the vinegar.

Tomato Remedy: Apply ripe tomatoes pulp on acne pimples and apply to acne skin for 1 hour, then rinse off.

Oatmeal Remedy: 1/2 cup oatmeal mix with rose water and grind up into paste. Apply on acne skin for 15 minutes, rinse with cool water.

Honey Remedy: Apply raw honey to your acne affected skin. Leave on for 10 minutes. Honey has an anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effects on the skin.

Almond Remedy: 5 almonds, 3 tablespoons of milk, 1 teaspoon orange juice, 1 vitamin A capsule. Soak the almonds overnight in water, then grind them with the milk. Add the oj and squeeze the vitamin A into the mix. Apply to the face and neck for 20 minutes, then rinse with water.

Here is a small list of items that are known home remedies for acne:

Epsom salts, fresh lime, raw mangoes, raw potatoes, mint juice, crushed garlic cloves, aloe vera juice, cucumber, tomatoes, baking soda, toothpaste, and the list goes on and on.

Is there a true acne home remedy? The thing all these acne home remedies have in common is that they all tell you to apply to your skin. VERY IMPORTANT: Understand that acne is an internal problem. Yes, some people can get some temporary relief with some of these acne home remedies but until you address the internal issues acne will continue to be a problem.
