A well laid out business card is as important as a clean, spic and span, well decorated reception of a company. Yes, this is not an exaggeration, just as a reception is one of the primary components to strike an impression about an organisation, similarly, your business card is one of the first things that would speak a lot about you, probably more than you yourself can. Therefore, it would be an understatement to say, business cards are very important and they have to be impressive to create the desired image.
With business cards, you can create just the image you want to. You can project yourself as a creative guy. You can show how professional you are and you can also underline your expertise in your field of profession. And because business cards do all this and more, therefore it becomes imperative on us to get a good job done on these tiny but immensely effective marketing tools.
While getting your business cards printed, you should not compromise on the quality for the cost part. Some printers may offer you cheap rates on business cards or even a free service. But that may cost dearly, when you find that what was delivered to you is nothing more than embarrassment. You can not present them to anyone, let alone your clients. The material used in those cards may be a cheap 200 gsm weighing card. And worse, the business cards may bear the supplier's name at the back of the card.
Ideally, the weight of a business card should be a minimum of 335 gsm. However, if you want a top quality board, you should opt for 400 gsm. You can get good quality print work from many online web based printing services. But before you zero in on any of the suppliers, remember, it is a matter of your first impression to your clients and to your associates. So make a wise decision.
