Honeymooning at the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego

The Hotel Del Coronado, lovingly referred to as "The Del," was built in 1888 and designated a National Historic Landmark in 1977. It has been named the number one wedding destination by the Travel Channel and "one of the top ten resorts in the world" by USA Today.
Upon arrival at San Diego Airport, guests may call Del Express for a direct transfer to the hotel. The cost is $29.00 one way and reservations are not required. For more information call 888-726-4504.
The quaint guestrooms located in the Victorian Building are between 200 and 289 square feet with no view. The rich decorations reflect the hotel's unique heritage. The guestrooms in the Towers and Cabana buildings, are slightly larger in size, and have a partial or full view of the Pacific Ocean. The Resort Suites, located in the Towers Building, are twice as large and have separate living and bedroom areas. These suites offer sweeping views of the oceanfront.
The Del offers a unique variety of shops and boutiques, as well as award-winning cuisine. The Del's Crown Room has been voted the Best in San Diego for Sunday brunch. The new state-of-the-art Spa, scheduled for completion Fall 2006, will include 22 treatment rooms, hydrotherapy, and steam rooms.
For the bride and groom who want to be married at the Del, they have a variety of elegant, indoor and outdoor locations with ocean and garden views. They have a professional catering staff and can assist with wedding decorations, menus, photographers, florists and entertainment.
