In some instances you may hear business coaches talk about business being slow. Here are some tips to keep that from happening.

One would be to place great emphasis on business development. There is always a need to challenge yourself with the development of new products, new marketing techniques, and new speaking engagements.

Make the most of any newsletter you have. Most of your subscribers would welcome valuable information. Be sure to make aware of what you have to offer.

You always want to keep any professional network and strategic partners up to date. On an average most of your clients will come from referrals. This is very important because you want to keep in constant contact with people who are referring clients to you and who may refer clients to you in the future.

Writing down ideas will be of help to. This way you can access the ideas when the time is right.

Consider yourself luck to be able to make a living helping people. Keep notes of all your feedback so that you have something to go back on especially the feel good stories to review when maybe things aren't going as well as expected.

Keep your focus on marketing yourself. We are always going to have to do things that we really don't want to do. But spend as much time as you can with getting new clients.

When you come across a situation where you don't feel that the client you are working with is compatible with you refer him or he to another coach who is better suited for the job.

Also, try to surround you with an excellent team. You shouldn't feel like you should be doing everything yourself. Divide the chores among your strengths.

Keep a positive outlook that you will succeed. Sometimes you may not always succeed but if you keep a positive outlook for the most part you will.

When at times you are going through a slow time or down time use that situation to get caught up in other things you need to do like following through with marketing, client recruitment and product development.
