A new age in marketing

A new age in marketingA new age is arising in the marketing and advertising game. Print media has been destroyed by the internet, television is losing its appeal power thanks to DVR's, and telemarketers have gone too far and ruined the art of the cold call. So what's left? In today's world, if you hand someone your business card, it gets buried in a wallet or filed in the recycling bin. Internet marketing prices are going through the roof. So unless you have money to spare, your business will not see a proper return on the money spent. The trick of the times is to find a marketing ploy that sets your company apart from the others. To create a business card that will not get thrown away. Advertise in away that your name will be seen often and remembered. The big trick is not to get people to say, â€"That company makes the best product”. Rather, â€"That company has a cleaver add campaign and I want to show my friends!!”So how is this done? As I look around my desk I see pens with ads on them, logos, hats donning logos, stacks of business cards I'll never look at again, and junk mail that piles up in my garbage can. What really catches my attention is a tape measure. It's a silly toy that I play with (because there are no other toys around) when I am thinking. On this tape is an ad for a local mortgage company. Although I have no need for it, I see the name all day and find myself thinking of it when I am at home and some ad for another company comes on the television. So why not put toys in the hands of your potential customers? Custom made poker chips from www.mycustompokerchips.com could be the ticket to getting your name out there and remembered. Custom playing cards could be a way to spread the word to all the friends. It's standing out that makes the difference, not standing still.
