Let's Be Realistic When Searching For A New Car:

Take a deep breath and start doodling in the fine art of compromise. If you don't think you'll be able to afford what you want, take another look at why you're buying a car in the first place, then start looking at different options that might satisfy you.

a. A used sports car instead of a new budget car

b. Leasing instead of buying

c. A full-powered American car instead of a certain prestigious European

d. Getting that Euro make you want, but without extras

e. A used car to keep while you save for what you really want

f. Keeping and upgrading the car you have

One in three new cars are leased rather than bought, and used car sales have been on the rise. Like you, many people want to drive a late model car but are feeling a money crunch.

What do you want to avoid?

Since you've hopefully already thoroughly thought out what you want in a car, you're ahead of the game. But what should you look out for as you research cars, shop, and finally make a deal? You don't need to swim in data, so follow a methodical approach and avoid anxiety.

Things you don't want to do when buying a new automobile:

a. Pay too much

b. Be talked into buying extras you don't need

c. Get a car that's not right for you

d. Buy a car with a body style about to change

e. Buy a car with bad resale prospects

f. Buy a car that has been damaged (with a salvage title)

g. Let a salesman tell you how much you can afford

h. Stress unnecessarily

Anticipating the overall experience of buying a new car: Ready, set .....go!

Many people consider the car buying process intimidating. But there's reason to take heart, the word is out that buying a new car or truck is getting easier. More than half of consumers agree that buying a car or truck is now easier than it was in the past, according to the National Automobile Dealers Association.

There are also people who have found buying a car through Government Auctions, even Free Government Auctions to be a satisfying experience. You may want to consider this option because you might be able to find a deal on your next car or truck that you otherwise couldn't do.
