Desire Or Decision

Today's article focuses on the difference between desires and decisions. You know, everybody desires good things. Chapter 1 in The NEW Think and Grow Rich tells you to get specific on your desires. What it doesn't tell you is that you are making decisions. It kind of holds that off until principle seven, Decision, which we call Courage also.

Basically, a decision to do something takes something out of the realm of a desire and into the realm of execution. I decide I will have this million-dollar business, this million-dollar publishing event, whatever it is. And then I go to work. I know what to work on because I create the plan for every individual event and benefit.

On the other hand, desires…well, everybody wants a million dollars, don't they? But how many people do you know who are in motion? How many people do you know who have made a decision that they're going to have it and are in motion making it happen?

That's what a decision does. That is what I wish for you.
