Opinion Sampling As A Home Business

You have seen the ads online and in emails offering you the opportunity to earn as much as $200 an hour for giving your opinion on everything from new products to employees, how complaints are handled and which deodorant works the best. You can be a secret shopper, keep what you buy with someone elses money and get paid up to $40 an hour to do what you love to do the most!

While there are companies that employ people to do just that, they usually do not make you ante up just to get the information. Many of these ads are little more than a listing service, which means that for a fee they will sell you a list of companies that sometimes use these services. Whether they hire you, will depend on many variables such as your location, your willingness to work possibly strange hours and the availability of up front money, which will be reimbursed.

There are also companies that will pay for completing surveys online but in reality you will have to spend several hours online each day to earn enough money to make it worth your while and to pay for your internet connection. It may be more time consuming but you can find out which companies are willing to pay for your secret shopper services simply by conducting your own research on the internet.

Before you sign up with any referral company, you should check with your local Better Business Bureau to see if they have any complaints filed against them. Know who you are dealing with. If it takes four or five trips to the internet to find the name of the company, ask yourself why they are keeping their identity secret. Also find out if there is a market for this type of work in your home area.

If you live in a small town and including nearby cities that have few shopping centers, think about how many secret shoppers will be needed. Try to find others who are doing this type of work and contact them to learn about their experience. If it is a legitimate job offering, there should be no reason the company would not want you to talk to existing workers and not the ones who appear in their testimonial advertising.

Those folks could be paid to say nice things about the company. Be realistic about the offerings. Find out which companies are willing to pay you $200 to fill out forms online. Maybe they would be better served and more financially feasible to have this done in return for free product samples. Remember the old buyer beware axiom, that is an offer seems too good to be true, it usually is.
