If you've ever been to a pool hall, you have probably had someone approach you and ask to shoot a round of pool. If you say yes, you probably go over to the cue rack and grab any cue that you think is fit. You pick the one that is straight, has a tip and has a weight that is comfortable for you to carry.

Do you know why you pick this cue? It's because you want one that fits your needs. You don't choose a cue that won't help you feel comfortable throughout the whole game and help you win.

Outside of the pool hall, you probably want to be able to have a pool cue that is your own. There's nothing better than being able to go home and have a pool cue bag that holds the perfect cue for you.

If you are looking to find a pool cue that is right for you, there are plenty of things that you have to consider before you settle on one cue. If you have ever gone looking for a pool cue, you have probably realized that there are so many different types that you can choose from.

Here are a few things that you need to keep in mind when you are shopping around for a pool cue:

1. Comfort. If you have ever picked out a pool cue, you have hopefully picked one that you felt comfortable holding and using. You choose one that wasn't too heavy and wasn't too light. You probably also consider how thick or thin the pool cue was. You might have even looked at the length of the pool cue.

All of this goes into choosing a pool cue. However, when you look for a pool cue for yourself, you have more time to decide what is really best for you. You want a cue that fits in your hand and isn't too heavy. There are ranges for each pool cue. The common thickness for a pool cue is 13mm and weight can vary from 17oz. to 21oz.

2. Personality. Though not as important as comfort, you definitely want a pool cue that has a personality that fits you. You want one that is able to show off who you are when you're shooting pool.

If you're a rough type of person, you don't want to be caught in the pool hall with a bright colored pool cue that makes you seem like something you're not. If you're a quiet pool player, you don't want a pool cue that attracts too much attention. Find a pool cue that fits you personally.

3. Cost. Whether you believe it or not, $10,000 can be put towards a pool cue. While many people don't even think about paying this amount of money, some do. There is a vast price range to choose from when searching for a pool cue. You can find one for as cheap as $10.00 but on the other hand you can find something that is much more expensive.

When choosing a pool cue, keep in mind price, personality, and comfort. You want something that will help you win a game of pool while also being able to play with enjoyment.
