If you own a hosting company, are a web designer or offer any sort of a service that has to do with websites you can make extra income or residual income from home by providing these services. Ive found the best way to promote yourself and the services you are offering are simply by advertising it every place you go, every place your a member, every site you are on, every way you can. Except of course SPAM!

If you SPAM websites or people you could really get in a load of trouble not just with the person you sent the SPAM to, but your hosting company as well as any sponsors you have. The next section is a list of places you can post your ad, your services, your signature etc.

Forum Sigs
Email Sigs
Forums - Find the section where people are looking for certain services and offer yours
Job Boards
Job Sites - GenuineJobs, MoneyMakingMommy, WorkAtHome
Freelance Sites - ScriptLance, Guru, GetAFreelancer
Make your own website for the services you offer, include prices and a portfolio if applicable
Classified ads
Craigslist
Myspace - Post to the classifieds section, put a banner on your profile, send out bulletins
Place an ad in your local paper
Have someone write an article about you or a featured blog
Buy banner ads or advertising space on websites, and give them your banner (make it professional) or make a little ad copy.

So you see there are tons of ways to promote yourself and your service, you just have to work at it. Website services can include, web hosting, web design, backlink services, directory submissions, Search Engine Optimization, Search Engine Marketing, Website development, or anything else you offer that has to do with websites.

Another thing you can do to promote yourself, is write a article, nothing spectacular, about your service. So say you provide a back linking submission service. Write an article about why back linking is so important. Then send your article to places like ArticleMarketer or EzineArticles and include your main website in the "About The Author" area.

Lastly, you have to remember that anything you do online, advertising, banners, websites, if they are made by you, they are a direct reflection of you and your work. After all you wouldn't hire a web developer or a web designer, if their VERY own web site was messed up, would you? Make it professional!
