Gambling-How to Win

While there are not likely any new gamblers out there - just in case you are about to turn age 21 [some odd laws allow a person to vote or enter the military but not gamble until he/she is 21] - there are some things you can do to give you a better chance at winning enough so that you break even if you wish to include all your costs.

There are professional gamblers and I am not qualified to teach you how to be one. I would even recommend that anyone considering being one change career objectives. I have known a few professional gamblers and they lead quirky lives. Remember, professional just means being paid - it does not infer how much one earns or one's skill levels.

There are gaming books out and they will tell you that if you have the numbers ability and staying ability, you can most easily win over time, in Baccarat. Ok. Hmmm. Well, I do not have that much money or staying power. I did try to be a "wise acre" and go against a rich Chinese guy and in five minutes, lost my entire gaming stake for that day!

The easiest game to play is not to play a game at all and use the slots all day long. While I guarantee you that if you use one that has 2 cherries all the way up to 3, 4 or 5 of something [according to the machine's legend] you will win some money. However, as there are entire classes of gamers who do nothing but play slots, and some of those gamers climb to fancy slot machines, some of which accept only $500 gaming tokens per play, those I do not guarantee will pay you anything.

Also, as it was correctly depicted on the TV show Bones, last week, our star's numeric skills went against her and she was caught CARD COUNTING. For the math wizards of you out there who are anxious to play card games on tables using your memories and math, for some odd reason, every casino I know of prohibits one to use card counting. So, if you are very very good at Black Jack and can keep lots of numbers in your head, this is the game to play AS long as you do not play at one table too long as you win. [All casinos must win most of the time to stay in business - so, if your playing starts helping you, it hurts them and they CAN and WILL ask you to leave just because you are winning to much money!]

Roulette, craps [yes, that is the name of a game!] and the wheel, and the other games will keep you excited.

IF you are a drinker - you will soon be offered free drinks. While it makes you feel good, I assure you that you will be paying over $15.00 per drink in the time you spend gambling! The casinos "give away" nothing without a purpose!
