Although he denies that he called his electors "lazy" or "idle", Sir Robin Wales, Labour Mayor of Newham, continues to cause rumpus.

Being the subject of some latest reports, Sir Robin Wales explains that he was misinterpreted when the press wrote that he wanted to leave the Londoners without jobs at the creating of the Olympic Games. Instead, he said that he wants to help local people to get motivated for the tourism jobs boom.

In the reports that the Mayor of Newham contradicts now, it seems that he has said that East Londoners "haven't got the skills, haven't got the training, can't afford to lose the benefits and won't come in for work even at 11 o'clock".

However, Sir Robin Wales declared that "No one in Newham can assume they will be first in line for jobs and opportunities". He also adds that "We have to show that we have the skills and the energy to rise to grasp the opportunities that the Games will bring".

The matter has a great importance as it is well known that the sum spent on the organization of all the aspects which will constitute the whole scene of the Olympic Games in 2012 is enormous. Ken Livingstone, Mayor of London said that annually are allocated about £10 million in order to ensure London's Olympic venues enjoy maximum usage in the years after the Games.

In the organization of the Games there is not only a plan for building a place where the Olympics will take place but there are plans for developing the transport structure of the Capital. Therefore, Chairman Sebastian Coe stressed that the extension of the East London line, offering new links between east London and the rest of the city, would play an important role while citywide developments such as the completion of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link from Stratford to King's Cross/St Pancras would also be likely to be seen in the next future, in order to make possible the allowance of an introduction of a seven-minute shuttle service between central London and the Olympic Park.
