Asthma in children can be very traumatizing especially to the parents. The causes can vary. These especially include asthma history in families, allergic reactions and eczema. Children of parents who smoke are more likely to develop asthma. Smoking when pregnant can also cause a baby to be born with asthma.

As parents and guardians of children living with asthma, you should learn all there is to learn in children and asthma. This way, you will be able to give your child a comfortable life even if they have the condition.  The child should have a personal doctor who deals with children and asthma. This doctor is the one to make diagnosis every now and then to gauge how well the medication is working.  The good news is that asthma in children is lower as the child grows.  In most cases, it disappears for good. Some do carry the condition in to adulthood but the symptoms are not severe.

Children and asthma is not a peculiar occurrence. Many children do develop asthma as a result of an allergic reaction to something that irritates their air waves.  Parents of such children should not be overly worried. They should treat the children just like any other normal children

Children with the asthma condition should always take their asthma medications whenever they go, their outdoor activities can be made as normal as possible. Their activities especially outdoor ones should always be monitored.  The children should be taught how to manage their condition too and especially older children.
