What are being called previously unheard interviews with an angry John Lennon have surfaced, offering comprehension of what could have caused the Beatles to break up. I remember there being a complete book put out of the Lennon Rolling Stone interview tapes. So, while they may be 'unheard' by the public, many Beatles fans, like me, have most likely read the transcripts from the interview tapes.

Wenner released the tapes for celebrated rock reporter Mikal Gilmore's study on what broke the Beatles apart, which appears in the upcoming issue of the publication.

Lennon also talked about the group's disrespect towards his other half Yoko, announcing the other three disliked Yoko Ono and that It seemed he had to be married and happy to the group or his Wife and he selected Yoko Ono. Lennon added that George Harrison insulted her right to her face and he didn't hit him, he wonders why. He asserts that Ringo was OK but the other 2 really gave it to the couple. He claimed he would never forgive them.

But ultimately, John claimed the group's split was a long time coming. By the time they made it big in the early 1960s, Lennon declared the music died and they never improved from this point forward.

Lennon is unquestionably at his most bitter in the Rolling Stone interviews. I also believe John was trying to distance himself from the enormous shadow of the band in an attempt to forge a new solo career.

The "Why The Beatles Broke Up" article appears in the next issue of Rolling Stone.
