While making your way to the SBS Open at Turtle Bay, you might want to prepare to make the best of your stay there. Turtle Bay Resort in lovely Oahu and its surroundings have a lot to offer.

Accommodations close to Turtle Bay Resort Golf Club - There's a variety of living spaces to choose from:

On the 880-acre resort itself: You can opt to live in a resort suite that provides an unobstructed ocean view and private lanais.

The Beach Cottages west of Turtle Bay: You have your privacy in adequate living areas with Brazilian walnut floors, 15-foot ceilings, and large marble baths.

Ocean Villas: They spell "luxury". All bedrooms of the villas overlook Kuilima Beach Cove. You get exclusive access to a pool, Jacuzzi, and courtyard for residents alone. You can enjoy delicacies prepared by a private chef in your own villa, if you stay with a partner or in a group.

Staying Healthy and Fit - Spa Treatments At Spa Luana, you can be treated by certified massage therapists to a full-body massage, with your partner if you want it, either in your private room or in the spa facilities or on the beachside. Treatment prices vary from $55 per person to $220 for the more luxurious treatments. But, it's well worth the relaxing and uplifting feeling that brings your mind and body into perfect harmony.

Gym Facilities - The Fitness Center opens quite early at 6 a.m. every day and is open until 10 at night. It features top-of-the-line exercise equipment to get your heart pumping. Certified Personal trainers are available for one on one instruction, which starts at $65 per session. You could also receive private yoga lessons, starting at $80 per session either in your room or on the beach. You can also sign up for group fitness classes, which run on a schedule.

Dining - Your taste buds are in for a treat during your stay at Turtle Bay Resort.

Choose Ola for a taste of domestic fare. Locally grown greens and tomatoes are featured on the menu along with traditional dishes such as Ahi and Lobster Poke.

Your stay at Turtle Bay is not complete without a visit to 21 Degrees North. The foliage lining the walkway to the restaurant is as breathtaking as the falls that you first encounter. You can savor exotic Asian or American cuisine while taking in the view of the waters, which the ceiling-to-floor windows of the restaurant afford.

Dinner is a must at Palm Terrace. With internationally themed buffets on different nights, this restaurant caters to everyone.

Brunch at Sunday Brunch is a cinch. It features the Pacific Rim buffet. You can get made-to-order omelets, Belgian waffles, mouthwatering desserts, and more.

If you don't want to take your sights off the golf course, Lei Lei's Bar and Grill is the place for you. Wine connoisseurs will not be disappointed with their extensive selections. And, there's plenty of succulent fare to go with the drinks--fresh seafood, prime rib, tender beef, tantalizing salads.

The Hang Ten Bar and Grill offers a variety from fish tacos to grilled hot dogs and the most beautiful sunset views.

If you really want to rev your senses with dances and music extraordinaire, don't miss Friday evening at the Luau. You can experience Hawaiian, Tahitian, Samoan, Polynesian, and Fijian dancing and music. Children from 4 to 11 years are allowed as well.

If you just prefer your favorite North American fare, make your way to the Bay Club.

Entertainment - There's no dearth of activities and entertainment on Oahu. There's so much to do and discover.

The quickest way is to take a Helicopter tour of North Shore Oahu. You have to book in advance. But they're convenient as they depart from Turtle Bay Resort itself. You are given a bird's eye view of Waimea Bay and Sacred Falls. You can also opt for Heli USA copter tours to see all the island has to offer from the air including the Nu'uanu Pali valley battle site, Pearl Harbor, and U.S.S. Arizona Memorial.

The Hawaii Duck Tour also gives you the opportunity to visit Pearl Harbor, Honolulu, Waikiki, and Hanauma Bay aboard the revamped "Duck", which is an amphibious military vehicle.

Looking for Off-road film and TV set tours? Kailua Beach hosts these show locations. You get to visit the shooting locales of Jurassic Park, Windtalkers, Tears of the Sun, and TV's LOST.

Oahu Nature Tours delves into the plentiful Hawaiian ecology. Or, you could do the Under Sea Tours in Atlantis Submarines. Would you prefer to come face to face with sharks under water? You can!

You definitely got to lose yourself in the world's largest plantation maze--the Dole Pineapple Plantation.

If culture beckons, you can check out the Polynesian Cultural Centre to the East of the resort or how about circling the entire island on the Polynesian Adventure Tours?

If you don't want to wander far from the resort, you can go snorkeling, and swimming in Kuilima Cove, watch out for whales near the Turtle bay hotels and for sea turtles near the Beach Cottages. Kayaking and tennis anyone? They're close at hand too. Or, why not just take a leisurely stroll along the trails?
