The Positive Marketing

When you consider all of the major ad slogans and campaigns, you will begin to notice a trend in them: they're all centered on a positive theme.

Let us take the example of some of the most popular and long lasting marketing campaigns. One of the first things that come to mind is the Nike slogan of Just Do It. This slogan works on several different levels. It is short enough to immediately grab your attention, it has a potential double meaning that makes it slightly risqué, and it is completely positive in what it is saying.

The slogan tells you to act, which can be a very empowering thing.

How do you apply this to your marketing? Think first of custom poster printing. The most dominant image in a poster is going to be your company image. Unlike other forms of marketing a poster needs to convey its message quickly and should have a strong company identity in order to really work.

Not every company is going to have a slogan, but then, for positive marketing to work you do not necessarily need to have a catchy slogan for people to repeat. Everything about the image you present to people on your poster printing is going to affect them. You want them to come away with a positive feeling for your company.

What kind of colors and images do you plan on using? Ask yourself what kind of message these things convey. Of course, to an extent this is going to be subjective, which means you should try to get multiple people to look over your posters to see what they think.

However, in the end the most important part of your custom poster printing will be your word choice. No matter why you have decided to make a poster you need to make sure that the words have a completely positive feel.

People are not going to look at a poster for very long. Because of this you need to be blunt and to the point with your message. What you need to tell them is what you're doing and what action is desired on their part.

Think about the call to action that accompanies the Nike slogan. This is what your words need to say. Are you advertising a sale? Tell them to come on in and get savings today. Are you mentioning a new product? Tell them to improve their lives today by making a purchase.

Is the pattern becoming obvious? The point is to tell them that this is the action they need to do and this is why it will be better for them. Everything is positive and asks the person to do something specific.

So long as you make sure that your poster printing is centered on something that is helpful to the customers and carries a sense of urgency and action, you will do a much better job of making your posters effective.
