The Scam of Network Marketing

I remember my first encounter with my up line leader, a restaurant, a couple of "leaders" within the team and of course the "opportunity"! Yes the Cadillac was parked in close easy to see spot, wearing the Rolex and "showing the plan". And I bit, like most of do; I bit and could not replicate this process to any degree of significance. Is this a scam? Well, yes it is only because they never tell you the whole truth. Every question you ask, as a predetermined company approved answer which in turn is only partly the truth. I have talked about the truth in prior articles, what I want to focus on today is the scam.
The scam is the lack of knowledge and education that they don't have to actually make your home base business work. The promote cd's, hotel meetings, conferences, video etc. All of which YOU have to pay for. That folks is a SCAM! We are literally throwing away our money for these "experts" to get up and rant and rave about THEIR success. The scam is that THEIR success is all predicated upon YOU buying into the program for the opportunity.
Now I don't want to cast a shadow that all networks are scam artists, in fact there are some very good ones. But if you go to a meeting and they flash the cash, the Rolex and pitch opportunity - RUN! Run as fast as you can and find the right people to help market your business. Networking, just like all business is based on moving product, not the opportunity. There are literally thousands of multi-level marketing companies with thousands of products. Find one product that you love and find others who love the same thing, and grow a down-line of product users, not opportunity seekers.
When I first started as most of us do, we don't have any success to show. So why do we think we can pitch an opportunity on making money? Because we have a friend, do we? What we have is a friend who is based in greed and is trying to get you to feed your greed button, that's why we jump on the opportunity.
If your new and/or still think your up-line is great, good for you. Give six more months, and when you have not reached the platinum, diamond or pink Cadillac level like your up-line promised come back to this article. When you're broke and/or tired of buying the scam cd's, dvd's, conferences etc. come back to this article.
The real SCAM, a lot of networking PRODUCTS are great. I think they should be out on the market and taken by the people who benefit no question. Unfortunately that's the real scam; these great products never get a chance because of these techniques or greed. There is a better way, trust me, I have lived the bad and now I live in the good.
Thanks for spending a little time with me today.
