The internet is a wonderful tool to help your children learn and explore new cultures and ideas. What also comes with the easy access to exploration on the internet is the dangers that they may be subject to.

There are signs your child may be showing if they are at risk online..

Your child spends large amounts of time on-line, especially at night.You find pornography on your child's computer.Your child becomes withdrawn from the family.Your child turns the computer monitor off or quickly changes the screen on the monitor when you come into the room. These are just a few signs that your child may be under the influence of something they are viewing on the internet. It's not just a Playboy hidden in the sock drawer any more. Finding pornography on your childs PC is the clearest sign that your kid is using pornography. Sometimes it is just not that obvious. A careful cleaning of the computer can make it harder to spot if your child has been on pornographic websites. It takes time to check all the places your child might have been, and how could you possibly monitor who has been talking to your child?

How can you tell if a website is harmful or harmless? There are many signs and behaviors that suggest your child is viewing or addicted to harmful internet content such as pornography. Other than finding the actual pornography on their computer, you can use these signs to determine whether or not your fears are correct.

A strong indicator that your child might be involved in pornography or other activities you do not approve of, is a lot of time at night on the computer.

Does your child quickly turn off the monitor when you come into the room. A child looking at pornographic images or having sexually explicit conversations does not want you to see what they are looking at on the screen.
