Socialization in the new society

The importance of interpersonal relations cannot be denied. All humans are social beings, it is difficult for them to be isolated from the community. College students often go from one extreme to another. Some of them regard communication with peers the most important part of their college life. They prefer to meet with their friends instead of doing their homework or preparing for the seminars.

The others are marginalized in the community, devoting all their time to studies. This extreme has negative impact on the process of study as well. From one side, these students do not have moral support of their peers. They are often teased and named crammers. The friendly atmosphere in class is a significant condition for successful self-expression of the students and realization of their intellectual abilities. On the other hand, they deprive themselves from the opportunity to relax after hard work and get new forces for their further study.

Advantages of communicating with fellow students

College time is regarded an unforgettable period in the life of every person. The students' friendship is often saved through the whole their life. People rarely recollect their classes, lectures and seminars. The students' parties, club activities and gatherings are much more remarkable. The person is to pay enough attention to all sides of life and use all possible opportunities for self-realization:

attend clubs;

participate in extracurricular activities;

communicate with peers in the dormitory.

College life is like a preparation for the adults' life. Communication with peers may not only provide moral support of friends. It is possible that sharing their useful experience the students could give some useful hints to one another. It is not a secret that many students may borrow their friends' notes. It is not advisable, but in some occasions it may be helpful. Team spirit is very important in college life, but it is necessary to manage one's time and leave enough time for studies.
