Like all the other products in the market, highchair manufacturers too combine certain features in highchairs so that they give maximum utility and comfort to the toddler who is going to use these chairs.

Following are the features which are available in highchairs. You will find that the manufacturers provide at least one pocket and one carriage with every highchair, some might even provide two sleek pockets and these turn out to be quite useful for the parents.

You can store all those things you always require urgently with a baby, like napkins, bibs, caps, cleaning towels, diapers, etc. these are things you require whenever you baby spills or drools while eating or sleeping, so keeping these handy is always necessary and required.

Another most important feature most manufacturers include is different degrees of reclining of the highchairs' back, so that children can be comfortable and can adjust themselves to the best position they can eat at. There is an additional advantage, that is you can use this chair to put your baby to sleep while you are working in the kitchen, The child will find it comfortable to doze off when he feels sleepy even if he is sitting at the dining table with the rest of the family. With this highchair you will not require to put in an extra effort to put your baby to sleep.

Table front is the most important feature in a highchair without which a highchair is not complete. This is especially made space to allow food to be placed in front of the baby so that the baby can learn to eat all by himself. This table however should be close to the baby, i.e. it should lock the baby inside the highchair and keep him safely. Most of the times there should not be any gaps between the baby and the table since a gap will mean the baby dropping food on himself and thus soiling his clothes. The table top should be large enough to accommodate a plate or a large bowl, anything smaller will increase the risk of things falling off from the table.

Safety belts are another thing that is most necessary with a highchair. This might not seem very important to people who have quiet children, but these are most necessary if your child is hyper and enthusiastic. There have been many instances in the past of children falling off the highchair and getting hurt in the process. Safety belts ensure that though children can move inside the chair, they cannot leap or jump out of the chair, since the safety belts arrest their movement.

Foldable is another feature of a highchair. A foldable highchair is easy to carry and to store whenever it is not in use; most of the highchairs available in the market are foldable and can be stored in a small place. The best ones would be the ones which provide all the features so that the highchair is used to the fullest.
