One thing that was the most needed thing during the Missile Crisis in Cuba was a better level of communication between the Soviet Union and the United States of America. As one of the positive results of the Cuban Missiles Crisis may be called the establishment of a hot line between the capitals of these two countries - Moscow and Washington. No doubt it improved the communication much. Now it is easier to solve critical situation. People do not depend that much on written letters, and miscommunication wouldn't be so dangerous. Because actually if the President of the States would receive Khrushchev's letter not in time there could be a nuclear war. When it takes too much time to communicate it is never an advantage.

It seemed that the Cuban Missile Crisis would be over on the 28th of October, the day when the Premier of the USSR agreed to remove the weapons out of Cuba. But the Soviet bombers were finally taken home on the 20th of November. It was signed to ban atmosphere nuclear testing by Khrushchev and Kennedy nine months later.

The President Kennedy was killed in Dallas, Texas, on the 22nd of November, 1963. Khrushchev also did not stay much longer in power. He was removed by the communist hard liners.

Many historians make some forecasts of what the world could be if Kennedy and Khrushchev would have ruled longer. Who knows, we will never find out the definite articles. Probably there could be much good done by them. And I myself feel very happy, that the countries did not use the nuclear weapon. The only hope and the wish I have is that our planet would never ever again face the horror of the World War.
