Massage Therapy is an exceptional field to work in. It offers excellent opportunities whether you are fresh out of high school, going back to school after taking years off, or just looking for something new to pursue. The only problem is that there are so many schools to choose from. As hard as it may seem to sift through the choices, it actually works as a blessing. The competition makes the good schools even better. So what makes a good school? There are many reasons, but amongst the most important thing to consider is the experience. More specifically, only consider a school that will get you the quality hands-on massage therapy training that you need. Visit http://massage.solex.edu/massage-therapy-training for more information.

Online schools are becoming more and more popular for all kinds of programs. Massage therapy training is not excluded from the realm of online schools. The problem with online programs is that they do not include necessary hands-on training experience. It is completely impossible to get quality massage therapy training without hands-on experience. Massage is a career path that almost entirely revolves around touch. Practice is incredibly important.

Study somewhere that not only allows for the chance to watch an expert at work, but also allows for the opportunity to practice with their supervision. It is important to not go through school alone. The ability to receive positive feedback as well as constructive criticism on personal massage skills is a good thing. This provides the chance to truly grow as a massage therapist and graduate the program with top skills. Unfortunately, online massage therapy training courses are not able to offer this option as a benefit.

An ideal massage therapy training school will have a student massage clinic on their campus. This has multiple benefits. Most importantly, a student clinic will give you the practice you need right at your fingertips (literally). It's especially helpful if the student clinic is open to the public. If it is, the students gain access to a variety of clients. These clinics run similarly to actual massage businesses. This, in turn, allows students to get the real world experience of working on a variety of people. And who knows, students may even get a few of their own clients out of the deal. Massage therapy practice like this allows for students to become the best student massage therapists they can be while truly becoming prepared for real-life massage therapy experience outside of just a massage program.

In short, do not skimp on the hours of practice. Some states require a particular amount of hands-on massage therapy training. It is a positive thing if a school offers more hours of hands-on massage training than the state requires. This will help students become the best massage therapists possible through practice and instructor critiques. If the school can offer a clinic on their campus there is less scheduling and computing to worry about. Massage therapy training programs are generally not too long and the industry is wonderful.

The School of Massage Therapy at SOLEX Medical Academy has been established for five years. The school is accredited by COMTA and provides a reputable and quality massage therapy training. The massage school grew to become a 720-hour massage therapy program in January of 2010.n
