Who's Bugging You?

Back when I was growing up I remember using the slang term "what's bugging you?" of course meaning what's bothering you. It was the clichéd phrase of the decade much like the phrase "at the end of the day" is now.

Nowadays the question is "who's bugging you?"

The James Bond Movies are infamous for having James come into his hotel room and immediately proceed to look for bugs-in the ceiling light fixture, behind mirrors, in the telephone (back in the day before cell phones), in the pillows, literally everywhere.

How many other movies have been made where the bad guy is caught on video or audio plotting some evil deed? How many times have you seen famous people caught on video accepting a bribe or some other misdeed as a result of a sting to catch them?

The FBI uses audio and video bugs all the time to catch high profile people.

Have you ever had the feeling that your competitor knew what you were doing better than you? Your top secret plans in his pocket?

Audio and video bugs are becoming more common that you might think. If you have any of these warning signs you better get one fast.

1. You notice strange changes in volume on your land phone line.

2. People know things about what you are doing they shouldn't.

3. You were 'burgled' and nothing was taken.

4. Your electrical outlets have been tampered with.

5. Sounds come from your phone when you hang up.

6. There are scratching sounds on your phone line

7. Utility workers show up unannounced.

8. Door locks appear to have been messed with.

These are some of the signs that you may have been bugged. If you are not sure, it is easy enough to find out-get a bug detector. It is much easier to be proactive and protect your self than to realize the horses have left the barn with the family jewels when it is too late.
