Sumtotal Wins Contract to Provide Software to 17,000 San Diego County

SumTotalÂ(r) Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: SUMT), a global provider of talent and learning management solutions, has received a contract from Northrop Grumman Corporation to provide the County of San Diego with TotalLMS™, a learning management system (LMS) that will deliver and report on certification and regulatory requirements for the county's approximately 17,000 employees. TotalLMS delivers, tracks and analyzes online education via the Internet.

The SumTotal deal announced today is one part of a larger contract the County of San Diego awarded in 2006 to Northrop Grumman to administer information technology and telecommunications services, including data center, help desk, desktop, network, applications and cross-functional services.

"We believe SumTotal's system will be fundamental to underpinning the management of the county's compliance efforts," said James Gill, director of Government Solutions for SumTotal. "We're honored that Northrop Grumman chose SumTotal's platform for the delivery, analysis and management of the county's regulatory and certification training."

San Diego County is the nation's fourth most populous county. It has an annual operating budget of more than $4 billion
