Healthy Eating Habits With Detox Recipes
Body detoxification experts suggest that observing a monotrophic diet after fasting for three days. Monotrophic diet means consuming one type of fruit on each meal. For example, you consume apple for breakfast and oranges or pineapples for lunch. You can eat as much fruit until your hunger is satisfied. And by late afternoon, you can squeeze grapefruit juice as your snack. For dinner you can only eat pears, grapes, bananas or apples.
The example that is given above is just one of the "do it yourself" detoxification dietary schemes. However, there are lots of detox recipes that one can prepare these days. These detox recipes provide you with all the essential nourishments that your body needs and at the same time provides the much needed antioxidants and other substances that will remove the toxins in the body.
If you go for the fluid intake detoxification scheme, it is recommended that you try drinking ginger healing tea. For that you will need two cups of water, ½ teaspoon of powdered ginger, half a teaspoon of tumeric, a tablespoon of maple syrup and lemon extract. Just put the powered ginger into boiling water and simmer for at least ten minutes. Pour the tea in a mug and the maple syrup and lemon extract. Stir a bit. Let it cool for a while before you sip.
Or you can try making vegetable juice. Vegetable juice provides energy to enhance the senses and digestive system. If you drink vegetable juice for breakfast, it will provide you with enough energy until lunchtime. All you need is one whole cucumber, four sticks of celery, two to four handfuls of spinach, eight lettuce leaves. If you like, you can add other types of green vegetables. Parsley and fresh alfalfa sprouts are highly recommended. Making vegetable juice is simple. All you do is juice all of the ingredients that you like and just add distilled water. For more added tang, you can always add lemon juice.
For lunch, it is recommended that you try the Alkalising Raw Soup. Secure one avocado, a couple of spring onions, ½ red pepper (you can also use green pepper), one cucumber, two handfuls of spinach, half a clove of garlic, 100 ml of light vegetable bouillon, lime or lemon juice and "Bragg Liquid Aminos" to add taste. Mix the avocado and stock and form it into a light paste. Put all of the other ingredients and mix it well. Once you had mixed it well, it is ready to serve.
For dinner, "Warm Broccoli Soup" is recommended. You will need ½ avocado, six or eight heads of broccoli, 1/3 red onion, a stick of celery, a big handful of spinach, an inch of ginger root, cumin and "Bragg Liquid Aminos" to add taste. Steam the broccoli lightly for at least five or six minutes. Once done, mix all the ingredients and add garlic and pepper for taste. This meal is ideal for cold winter nights.
