As you can see, even if your email had been delivered, your next obstacle that you'll face is getting it opened by your list.
So what are the tricks to getting your email opened?
To be honest with you there are a few tricks that have been used successful for me. The first and also simplest trick is to always imagine you are sending your email to a friend, not to your list or to a group of people.
You see, if you were sending an email to your friend, how does it look like? Go now to your email and see the mails that you send to your friends and the emails that your friend send to you. I'm very sure almost all the emails never used a capital letter in any subject, so if you are my subscriber reading this article right now, which I'm glad you do, you'll notice in almost all of my emails that I personally send you, the subject lines will never have a capital letter.
You see, I always try to think about subject lines that would get me to open the email and I always take close notice everyday on what emails I actually open. Now, here's a tip for you. Go open up your email inbox and look which title lines entice you to open it. Seriously, write it down on a piece of paper and keep it as your swipe files because those are your winners.
Just Imagine, you are one of about two or three emails that an average person will get per day. To be honest with you, make sure that you look like some they want to hear from, because if your subject line sucks, then they will never open your email.
Another extremely important part of getting your emails opened is being unique enough and build a relationship with your list, so the first time they open your email they'll remember you and want to open more of your exciting and successive emails.
So how do you build relationship using email?
It is fairly simple, be controversial, exciting, tell stories, sharing experience and etc. To be honest with you, there are many ways, but those are the few which I personally tested to work. Here's another tip for you, the most proven way is to share your personal experience. This method seems to get your next email opened for sure.
So that's all about getting emails to open, make sure you don't just read, take specific action now by keeping swipe files of the subject lines that entice you to open. And use them or modify them to use it on your list. I'm sure you'll see a big different.
