Free Traffic - 3 Good Reasons Not To Buy Traffic Software

When you're done building a website the first big thing that you have to think about is free traffic - or paid traffic. There are millions and millions of people out there looking for information and you want to funnel the right ones into your information. There are also millions and millions of people out there selling stuff to help you do just that.

Watch Your Back!

The buzzards, scam artists, and other experienced marketers who have been around for a while and know that they can make a quick buck off of someone new like you by making you believe that you need their expensive traffic software are everywhere. You don't have to get sucked in to their world of broken promises. Yes, most of that software does work... if you can figure it out. And no, you don't need it. You don't need to spend more than a couple of hundred dollars on tools that you'd have to have anyway just to establish your business. Free traffic is a snap. Spend your money on your basic tools and keep the rest of it in your pocket where it belongs. Better yet, spend it on food and rent or whatever you're trying to make money to pay for in your life. *wink*

Optionally you might want other ways of distributing your content but it doesn't have to be expensive. You can really quite easily establish a lucrative low cost lead generation system for less than $200 per month if you slow down and find a coach that won't charge you for training.

(Personally I think paying for training is a scam too. You can come by free training easily enough. This article will give you a place to start.)

I like to say there are 3 excellent reasons for directing your own free traffic instead of paying for it one way or the other.

Reason 1: It doesn't cost anything.

Free can be more valuable than paid - sometimes. You'll have to be the judge. If you have a good mentor that will help you a lot. As a new internet marketer you can avoid a whole lot of heart ache by running your ideas by your coach. A good coach will tell you that you should be smart about how you spend your budget. Free traffic is better than paid. The leads are better. The relationship is better. It's all around higher quality.

Reason Two: You have control over how much traffic you get.

There is no cap on how much free traffic you can get from the search engines. If you're on page one the sky is the limit.

Reason Three: It has a snowball / avalanche effect

Let me elaborate a little. Let's say you want to get a specific page on your website ranked on the first page of the search engines. You have it all done correctly with keywords distributed properly and you're ready to start pointing backlinks at that page, which makes the search engines like you and puts you where you want to be.

Put out another set of backlinks pointing at the same pages and you double the amount of traffic that you should be getting. Do another set and your triple it. Savvy? It's simple. And it can be done in only 2 or 3 hours per day. The more time you can commit the faster the snowball grows and the avalanche of leads can come crashing down.

What does "backlink" mean? I know I had no idea what that meant when I was new at this - and I had no idea how important it was to my success.

A backlink is essential to getting free search engine traffic. It's a link on another site (preferably a highly ranked site) that points the search engine spiders, and people back to your web page or blog post. It's simple. The more links to your pages you have on the most highly ranked sites the more free traffic you'll get.

That's it for now! I'll see you at the top!
