I never really imagined to what extent people would go to protect the environment. Much to my surprise, many people are really concerned. So concerned, that even clothes, are being made of organic material these days. What's even more surprising, even infant clothes are being made of organic material these days. The ‘in thing' is organic cotton. Organic cotton basically is cotton that has been made without the use of pesticides and other harmful chemicals and is growing in to one of the most popular ways to protect the environment, and the baby's skin.
Many fraudulent companies have capitalized on this trend and have started labeling their clothes as organic. While this may not come as a surprise to many, it is advised that you check the labeling carefully and also the reputation of the company that has manufactured the clothes.

Most of the usual baby clothes are harmful to the baby's skin. It is pretty shocking to know that nearly 23% of the world's pesticides are used in the production of cotton clothes. Organic baby clothing is one of the fastest growing areas, which makes the use of organic cotton. It is the healthiest option for baby clothing. Organic baby clothes can also be the perfect gift for a baby. Many designers are now using organic cotton on their designer clothes, which too is gaining a lot of popularity. Many parents prefer custom made clothes, which suit their baby, both in the areas of comfort and style.

Baby clothing includes everything, right from sweaters, dresses, hats and leggings. Organic clothing might not be as stylish as a custom made designer dress, but it is far safer for the baby. Parents can be assured that organic clothing is the best for the baby, health wise.  Most clothing companies are now moving towards designer made organic clothing, which will be the ultimate formula for the perfect baby dress. The day is not far away when designer organic clothing will be available in every shop.

Though organic cotton is not in abundance right now, the world is moving towards it. Slowly, but surely, we can expect to see it on the rise in the near future. Organic clothing is the future of clothing, especially for babies, who require special attention when it comes to health aspects and skin safety.
Organic clothing can cost anywhere around 40 to 50 USD for an entire baby set. Though this might be slightly heavy on some pockets, it is definitely the way to go, because you can sleep sound at night, assured that your baby is safe, and that there will be no harm to the environment.

Though the entire concept of clothing affecting the environment might seem to be farfetched to many, its implications will be felt in the near future if not taken care of now. This is what has caused the market to slowly shift to organic products, and other materials, that are a little lighter on the environment. So the next time you go shopping for your baby, keep the environment in mind. Go organic.
