The Borrower Must Pay His Debts

The borrower must pay his debts
I've graciously for over two years
Patiently waited while aggravated about it
Promises unfulfilled and I'm not thrilled
My warm heart has never hardened nor chilled
I love my beloved brother in Christ
With whom I gave my precious life
To be trained in ministry and missions in California
After which I went around the world with the Word
Blessings countless souls, setting captives free
Declaring newness of life, unconditional love, and liberty
Undoubtedly Christ died for Christopher and me
Christopher the light bearer, why do you hide
Resist your friends, live in denial, and run far away?
We all love you despite your setbacks anyway
However there must eventually soon come a day
In which you will face the music and begin to pay
Pay your debts which you've accrued while away
Remember the $1,200 of mine which you still owe?
The money you took from me in Florida and did blow
After hardships suddenly hit, to Louisiana you did go
You sent me four post-dated checks for $300 bro
The only problem was they bounced and proved worthless
My calls you ignore and don't return, as if I never did exist
I have tried to show all brotherly kindness and resist
Discrediting your character, though you are quite charming
However the way you've financially handled me is alarming
You've also got quite a track record with women you've dated
It seems you also managed to get some of their money
When the subject comes up they seem no less irritated
Forgive me for being the doormat Christian, sweet as honey
This has done you no good, nor addressed your duplicity
Neither has it restored the funds you took from me
Forgiveness must be followed by repentance and restitution
It is time I initiate a confrontation and birth a revolution
Certainly I am praying for an evolution and transformation
To this matter concerning your dealings with dollars
Subtlety by which you maneuver and make people holler
Any good father would not want such for his daughter
Nevertheless your past need not dictate your future
Hence I am again giving you a chance to bring closure
Pay up promptly and fully to once and for all close the door
On this important issue that lingers between me and you
Christopher, I am confident and still do believe in you
You are a graced and gifted young man in all you do
You have a magnetic personality and goods looks too
All of this aside it is time to work on the inner you
Be fortified, purified, and strengthened within too
Reconcile with those you have wronged and prolonged
To honor, esteem, uphold, cherish, and do right by
Be a loyal, truthful, faithful, and trustworthy guy
Don't continue to swindle, steal, fenagle, and lie
Dont' get me wrong, I am by no means perfect
Yet my word is my worth and it I don't neglect
This barrier between us I deeply dislike and regret
Nevertheless I must in my manhood deal with it
Intolerable cruelty and conniving can't be tolerated
This devil of deception must be ruthlessly obliterated
Too long have I tolerated what now has dominated
Aggressively therefore I run to the battle like a lion
Ready to uplift my voice, roar, and cry out in Zion
To excuses, justifications, and mitigation I'll not buy in
You must now take wholehearted responsibility
Acknowledge this matter and show accountability
Move speedily and immediately to pay the money
Lest you have to dreadfully deal with this indefinitely
Christopher this surely is not my desire for thee
Neither should it follow your name as a legacy
God has far more for you, a glorious destiny
A journey of success I'd like to take with thee
Life is to be celebrated and lived peaceably
Homme I know you like to roll and live largely
Your nice clothes and new cars reveal that obviously
You dine well and always dwell in cribs that are classy
Christopher there is no denying you have money
The question is how long do you want to play the dummy
Talk trash, spit game, pursue fortune, and act funny?
Don't let your ego drive you frivolously to an early grave
This is a wake up call by which I seek to alert and save
My beloved brother, longtime friend, and fellow minister
Running from your debts is devilish, disgraceful, and sinister.
