2007 Grand Prix of Cleveland: Made Even Better and More Exciting

No destination yet for your vacation? Why not set out on an exciting summer vacation in Cleveland. And while you're at it make sure that you schedule your visit on June 22 to 24 since these are the inclusive dates for the return of the high-speed thrills of the Champ Car World Series at the Burke Lakefront Airport for the 2007 Grand Prix of Cleveland.

The event has enjoyed a great comeback under its new owner and last summer while celebrating its 25th anniversary, the organizers were planning bigger things for this year's event. Racing fans will get to witness a number of exciting innovations and new racing events, a big-name concert, and a first-time fan facility that will enable them to get closer to the action than ever before.

The 2007 Grand Prix of Cleveland will once again be headlined by the Champ Car World Series which is America's longest-running open wheel racing series that features exotic high-speed rocketships that can travel more than 240 mph. For this year the Champ Car World Series will include an unprecedented in-track lineup plus two all-new racing events that guarantees to create a great deal of excitement among younger fans and these are the Kumho Street Warriorz and the Formula Drift Championship.

And also for the first time, the Grand Prix of Cleveland will showcase drag racing courtesy of the Kumho Street Warriorz drag racing series scheduled on Friday and Saturday night of the event. The Street Warriorz will compete with the street-legal daily-drivers under the lights on the track's front straight after the daily races are finished. This drag racing event is a rare opportunity for fans to participate in the racing action at the Grand Prix.

The 2007 Grand Prix of Cleveland will also feature the Formula Drift Championship Series which is a unique high-skilled, high-powered motor sport wherein drivers intentionally maneuver their cars into well-executed, controlled sideways slides at high speeds via a marked course. There will also be additional support series that will include the Cooper Tires Presents the Champ Car Atlantic Championship Powered by Mazda the producer of high quality Mazda cold air intake, Start Mazda Championship Presented by Goodyear, SCCA Pro Racing SIRIUS Satellite Radio Mazda MX-5 Cup, BFGoodrich/Skip Barber National Presented by Mazda, and last but not the least is the F2000 Championship Series. All of these events add up to a total of eight racing series competing at the Grand Prix of Cleveland. ---Tell me what can be more exciting than that?

And to further increase enjoyment major changes have been made at Grand Prix Infield Pit Area. The 2007 Grand Prix of Cleveland is offering so many first, aside from the above mentioned new events another first at the Grand Prix will be the introduction of an elevated pedestrian walkway, which will be called the Bridgestone Bridge. This walkway will enable fans to be able to watch all the racing events from this unique location and will be right on top of the action in the pits.

The Infield Pit Area will also require for a separate ticket called an Infield Pit Pass which can be purchased in advance or on-site. A 3-day Super Passes and hospitality tickets are also available for advanced purchase. Aside from the race there will also be a concert featuring Cleveland legends Michael Stanley and the Resonators which will be held on June 23, 2007. The concert will take place at the Budweiser Stage after the day's racing action. The concert is free to all Grand Prix ticket holders. Tickets can be bought for as low as $5 while Gold Circle premium seating located in front of the stage is offered for $25 a ticket.

The action-packed racing schedule and the Michael Stanley concert will be combined with other activities and attractions that will truly create three days of memorable festival of speed at the Grand Prix. The Grand Prix is an event for the whole family which means you can take your kids with you. The Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital Family Fun Zone will entertain your kids with interactive games, a reptile exhibit, inflatable toys, and many more. Fans of all ages are also welcomed to enjoy to the non-stop entertainment such as the professional beach volleyball, the Cleveland Grand Prix Charities go-kart track, beer gardens, live local music, extreme sports demonstrations, and of course who would want to miss out the Miss Grand Prix of Cleveland contest.

The promoters before last year's race were Mi-Jack Promotions and CEO Michael T. Lanigan. They provided the much needed financial security plus provided a fresh approach to the much anticipated event. And after the successful first year with more than 118,000 fans streaming to through the gates at Burke Lakefront Airport, the new promoters have continued to make improvements by introducing new innovations and by focusing efforts to create a family festival atmosphere. The organizers of the 2007 Grand Prix of Cleveland are positive that this year's racing event will be even more successful that the previous years.
