Why is It Difficult To Build Your Own Responsive List?

How many times have you... Joined a list building program
with all the hope in the world of building a massive list.
Where you can sell your products and/or promote your
affiliate programs to a lot of eager buyers!

The problem with joining all these list building schemes
like eg."Your Lucky List", is that all the people on your
email list are not strictly your personal list.

You see these programs come up with complicated matrix
systems, which every now and again you get to post a message
to "your list" which is getting lots of other messages form
other people in the program.

True on some of these programs you get credit for reading
other subscribers post. But do you have time to read hundreds
of emails a month ? I know I don't

Lets face it, all you are doing by joining these super list
building programs is giving the program owner a gigantic
list. While I am not taking anything away from these owners
and why should I. It is not helping you to obtain your own
responsive list and lets to face it to make money you need
your own list.

How may times have you heard the saying that the money is in
the list? A lot I should think well I will attempt to show
you that by building your own responsive list that you will
benefit in the end.

You must focus on what is important and that is to have
great useful content that your subscribers want. So that you
can build your very own responsive list.

There are millions of people surfing the web looking for
content when I say content I mean information. Think about
what you are searching for when you are surfing, then
imaging that there are other many potential subscribers who
are looking for content as well.

The content must be useful, informative and helpful the
content can come in many forms which I will cover later.
What people do not want is the same old content that is not
original and is ripped off from over sources.

Writing articles is a great way of producing original fresh
content that people are crying out for.

Articles are an excellent way of driving laser guide
targeted traffic to your lead capture page. You can achieve
this is by putting a resource box at the end of each article
with a link to your lead capture page.

Articles are very easy to write and I'm sure that you must be
good at some thing that you could write about, that can be
of value to somebody else. The articles you write can also
be used on your newsletter and special reports which you can
produce once a month.

Offer special reports, mini courses or ebooks to entice
people to subscribe to your newsletter (list).

Remember you are focused on providing useful content for
your subscribers in your own responsive list.

You must have a web host and lead capture page!

It is essential to have a page on your web server that can
get the names and email addresses of people who come through
to your site. There are many software programs and that can
help you make a lead capture page very easily. Just do a
google search and you will easily find some.

Plus there are lots and lots of good hosting companies out
there with video instructions on how to upload your page on
to your server.

An autoresponder is an essential part in building your list
on auto-pilot!

When you have an autoresponder you can put your articles,
newsletter, reports or mini courses on a autoresponder series
so that your subscribers get your very own content to them.
The reliable auto responders that I know work are getresponse
and Aweber I suggest you start with them unless you already
have one in mind.

These autoresponders can generate forms that you can put on
your lead capture page to get your subscribers information.

Build up trust

It is very important to build up trust between you and your
subscribers. Don't start trying to sell to them on first
contact. Just keep on providing good content so that the
subscribers do not unsubscribe from your list.

Don't make the mistake of sending out emails to your list
every day because they will soon unsubscribe.

You can start adding your own products at around the fourth
or fifth message, but don't go crazy and try to sell 5
products or 20 ebooks at the same time.

Always get feedback!

Run surveys on your list try to gage what the people on your
list want so that you can supply them later. Always answer
all enquires that your subscribers may have and remember to
give plenty of tips and bonuses away.

You subscribers will over time build up trust with you and
you will soon have them eating out of you hands.

Work smarter not harder!

Some time in life we do not have the time to do all the
things we want to. So if you do not have the time to write
articles you can obtain private label articles on what ever
your niche is. but if you go down that route you must
remember that there are going to be hundreds of people with
the same content.

So you must slightly alter the articles and put your own
words in so that you personalize them. Private label
articles are a quick way of providing good useful content
your subscribers.
