Sony Ericsson T700 can be described as more of a high-end, value for money gadget. It brings to its users 3G support at commendable features, yet not tagged with a price too high that burns a hole in buyers pocket.

Sony Ericsson has made its intention clear about owning a much bigger portion of the middle lever user segment. The segment which focuses on advanced, yet not the ultimate features & specifications. This handset brings it all for the users, yet does not end up being too heavy, bulky or overpriced. A number of users would no doubt find its features and price tag an ideal combination indeed.

This is basically a 3G enabled gadget and a candy bar design. Weighing-in at just 78 g, it is certainly one of the lightest handsets around, if not 'the lightest' one. However, this does not stop it from presenting a number of useful features. At 104 x 48 x 10 mm, one can easily slide it down in the pocket or carry around with ease. For a candy bar design, the display is more than decent. A TFT supporting 256K colors, the screen measures 2.0 inches with 240 x 320 pixels. It can be further customized as per the users wish via the Wallpapers and screensavers.

Hailing from the brand which has made its reputation selling high-quality music phones, the Sony Ericsson T700 is not an exception either. The handset supports Downloadable polyphonic, MP3, AAC ringtones and even a composer, just in case you are fond of creating some melodies of your own. A Stereo FM radio with RDS is indeed handy, presenting a plethora of musical varieties for the listeners. Similarly, the media player is fairly competent, capable of playing a number of audio codecs including MP3/eAAC+/WMA/WMApro player. Some typical Sony Ericsson feature to fiddle around with the tracks like TrackID are also available.

Don't get hooked on to only the music though, as there are a number of other features to benefit from. This include the sophisticated, although not too flashy Camera. It has a 3.15 MP resolution 2048x1536 pixels with a host of features including LED flash, Videocalling, and geo-tagging. Hence not only can the users capture those unrepeatable frames but also customize the settings so as to ensure the best quality. Shoot some interesting vids on the go with support for QVGA@15fps. The handset rocks in terms of gaming features as well. A few edge-of-the-seat games are pre-loaded, in addition to the support for other downloadable ones. Thus, gaming buffs would find no problems at all with this gadget.

Oh, and did we forgot to mention the 3G features? HSDPA, 3.6 Mbps along with a class 10 of GPRS and EDGE ensures accessing the World Wide Web on the go is possible by just a press of a button. Bluetooth v2.0 and USB v2.0 ensures data transfer requirements are met with ease. SMS, MMS, Email, and the highly desired feature Push Email is available, which further adds to its viability. The gadget is available in various colors which adds some more style and enhances its looks, with Black, Silver, Black on Red, Silver, and Black versions available for the taking.
