When you first start dating someone, someone you really like, it's like a whirlwind of emotions. When you find that right person, you are overcome with attraction and infatuation. You can't wait to see that person, to be around that person. Before long, you two are in a relationship. However, too often, with time, that initial rush of feelings fades and you soon find yourself stuck in a relationship rut.

You know you're in a rut when you no longer feel the same way for that person. The traits that you used to find enduring are now kind of annoying. The passion is gone and so is your patience. You argue all the time and steadily drift apart. That is the story of too many couples who soon find themselves to be the ex.

Don't Get Into A Boring Routine

However, with a few dating and relationship tips, you can maintain that initial fire that drove you two together and you can avoid the rut that ends too many good relationships. A good dating and relationship tip is to always change things up. Don't get into a routine too quickly. When dating, eat at different restaurants, go on picnics, do things out of the ordinary. That keeps things fresh and exciting, which is most important when trying to maintain that closeness.

Another good dating and relationship tip is to have your own interests and hobbies. Couple time is great but a relationship should compliment you, it shouldn't become you. By having alone time every now and again, you will avoid making the relationship stale. If you spend too much time with your partner, you soon could find yourself bored with him or her or you may find that you desperately need a break, which is never good for a relationship.

The most important dating and relationship tip is to be honest and forthright with your partner. Don't hold anything back and never lie to them, even if you consider the lie to be minor. A relationship based on lies never works in the long run and you only end up getting hurt or hurting the other person. If that person truly loves you and wants to be with you, you should be able to share everything together.

Dating is supposed to be fun and a relationship is supposed to be fulfilling and satisfying. With these dating and relationship tips, you can hopefully keep that fire kindled between you so that you can both live happily ever after.
