I put together this article with people like me YOU in mind. This is for the people out here in this world who want to accomplish magnificent things in life, those who want to teach and talk and love and simply be out in this world and love it, but unfortunately they can't because something is holding you back, something is hindering you from interacting and communicating with people all around you.

I thought I would shine some light on a subject bought up to me in conversation all the time to me, and that is SHYNESS.

I suffer from anxiety. I mean the works: sweaty palms, nervousness, shakiness, fast breathing, etc, etc. I knew I wanted to work from home, so in my case that meant talking to a lot of people on the phone. Whether it's in person or on the phone, I usually had a hard time and I'm sure those of you reading this can relate.

I've discovered that many psychologist have discovered that shyness is often thought as an inherited trait. It is also said to be a very bad thing especially if it keeps a person from connecting with other people and it could possibly slow down their personality.

All types of people encounter shyness folks, (YOU ARE NOT ALONE) some of us may find it difficult to conquer shyness and some may not. Did you know that females have the most trouble coping with shyness? Me personally I've found it very hard to rid shyness from life. So after doing some research and a little homework here is what I can suggest to you:

(1) Relax- By simply taking deep breaths (inhaling and exhaling) this will help you to relax. This technique is used by a lot of people who have difficulty with shyness. By doing this, you have the upper hand on a lot of your stressful situations.

(2) Visualization - try to meditate and see things how they can happen. This technique can drastically improve your social and interaction skills.

(3) Self Praise - focus on your own achievements, and goals that you have already accomplished. Implementing this technique, will increase your self confidence. You don't want to be overly confident (or stuck up) you just want to be proud of yourself, proud of who you are and what you have accomplished.

(4) Look-at-me!! - Look at the person you are talking to. By doing this, you will accomplish (2) things: (1) This will bring more ease to your conversations and (2) Your conversations will be a lot smoother, heck you may even grin or crack a smile.

And finally:

You are not IMPORTANT - Stop looking and thinking about yourself, instead shift that focus to someone else. Sometimes we seem to be very worried about what others are thinking about us, NEWS FLASH - this only hinders you from conquering the shyness. What counts is finding someone you can connect with and vise versa.

Shyness is not and uncommon thing, in fact a high percentage of humans encounter shyness on a daily basis. Unfortunately shyness can also cause some serious issues (i.e depression and alcholism, etc). Some people even isolate themselves. The good news is that many people have rid shyness from their life and are currently living happy, normal lives.

Me personally, I'm glad that I know this information. I'm working from home and this couldn't have come at a much better time as, it can for so many of you as well. The time is now folks! If you do not want to have a deprived social life, then take some control, grab shyness by the horns and kick it in the but!!!
