Masques have been around for thousands of years being used by any woman who chose to take care of her skin, no matter her social standing. It has been a way for women to treat any and every skin care concern. You can create your own masque at home or treat yourself to a spa created masque that treats a very specific issue.

For a bit of pampering you may wish to treat yourself to a spa masque which will encompass many different skin conditioning modalities and products. All of this skin care treatment will be done in an environment that is simply a slice of Heaven, helping to relieve stress as you heal your skin.

Using all natural ingredients is always the wisest choice, no matter the skin condition you need to treat. Whatever you put on your skin will be absorbed into your body!
Mud or clay masques are used to absorb excess oils, tightening the skin and making the pores appear smaller. Follow up with moisturizer for a glowing, fresh and clean look. This is good for all skin types except the overly dry.

Exfoliating masques use enzymes and salicylic acid to clear dead skin cells from your skin leaving you with a very healthy and much brighter look. If you've ever seen anyone with tired looking skin, they most assuredly need to exfoliate! As with any mask you will want to follow up with a moisturizer that matches your skin type.

Moisturizing masques are used to correct many things including wrinkles, flaky dry skin, skin irritations and tired looking skin. Your skin will be left feeling much smoother and softer. It makes you feel years younger. This is good for all skin types.

I personally recommend using a mask at least once a week to keep ahead of skin care problems. To administer a masque, apply over your entire face and leave on for 30 minutes.
Rinse with warm water. Pat you skin dry leaving your skin slightly moist. Apply a moisturizer after your masque. Your skin will feel moist and Healthy. Your favorite spa will have specialized masques for sale, which will most assuredly have higher quality and all natural ingredients then the over-the-counter varieties.
