You step up on the scale because you need to fit into a bathing suit, a tuxedo, or maybe a sports car...o.k. maybe not a sports car. But when you look down you aren't exactly thrilled with the number you see. It's clear you have about 20 pounds that you need to lose. For you maybe it's more or maybe it's even less. It doesn't really matter how many pounds you need to lose. What matters is the method you use to do it.

But the bottom line is you want to lose the pounds in as short of amount of time as possible, but you don't want to ruin your health doing it. That rules out any sort of pills that, while they may suppress your appetite, can leave you feeling jittery and worn out. And you'd probably kill yourself trying to exercise trying to lose 20 pounds in that amount of time.

I suppose you could starve yourself, give up all your favorite foods, and live on nothing but oat hulls and wheat chaff...that might do it. Then there are the popular T.V. diets plans that send you their food every week. But that stuff tastes awful and is loaded with salt. Talk about high blood pressure.

There is a new field of study in the diet world and it's all about calorie shifting. Did you realize that your body remembers exactly what it eats? Not only that but it actually predicts, or at least anticipates, what you are going to eat next. This causes your brain to emit two hormones that make your metabolism decide whether to store or burn your body fat. So if you are looking to lose those 20 pounds and you want to do it in a month, you need a method that can give you the knowledge of when to eat what calories.

Because you are going to be shifting your method of calorie consumption you'll want to eat four meals a day instead of three. But it doesn't mean you have to give up your favorite foods, like carbohydrates or fried food. You just have to learn how to combine them and know exactly when the best time of the day to eat them is.

You don't need to fear looking at the numbers on your scale. And you don't have to stop eating good food to lose those pounds. You need a good solid system of calorie shifting and you're on your way!
