Miami Beach Attractions
Among Miami's fifteen beaches the most visited are the infamous South Beach, Bal Harbor and West Palm Beach. Miami is also the site of two of Florida's oldest national parks, both revered for flora and fauna that is some of the most rare in the United States. The first among them, the Everglades National Park, is home to some of the world's largest alligator and flamingo populations. It was established way back in the 1940s and remains North America's only sub-tropic wildlife preserves. Next on the nature trail is the Biscayne National Park, which was created to conserve the only stretch of living coral reef around the undivided landmass of the United States. Visitors- favorite feature in the Park is the fifty-three foot long boat with a glass bottom that travels through the reef.
When in the mood for entertainment, Miami Beach delivers it best after dark. Visitors and local alike make the most of Miami's cultural experience at the various comedy clubs, live music clubs and professional theatres. The Art Deco District in Miami's tribute to the glorious architecture of the 1920's and it offers a walk down in to the cities past. Also on the list of architectural wonders in the 700 year old St Bernard de Clairvaux Church, which was shifted stone by stone from its original location in Spain to its current place on North Miami Beach. For those who wish to see the evidence of Alien-visitation in Miami, there is the Coral Castle. Indeed, the architecture and coral sculptures scattered all over the castle are so weirdly designed, that the modeling techniques still baffle scientists and some people actually believe the they had extra-terrestrial inspirations.
