People New To MLMs Come With Fears and Apprehensions - Let's Not Forget That

There is so much more to Network Marketing than fallowing a traditional recruiting system for obtaining a down line in order to succeed in generating a steady stream of income in a MLM home-based business. Cold calling leads can be the scariest part of building a successful company - and let's face it not all of us are equipped with enough enthusiasm and vigor to persevere and build a team that leads to our ultimate success. I tried that process my self and only ended up losing months of my time and hundreds of dollars on leads that produced only one successful recruit! Not only that but for whatever reason -my sponsor stopped returning my calls and I was left in the dark about the company, the products and where to go next. That only left me frightened and confused and I ended up leaving that particular organization with nothing to show for it but a long distance phone bill and a sense of disappointment in the whole thing.


I was full of doubt, frustration and anger -however, I discovered a woman named Gail who not only sponsored me into a different company -better suited for me and my intentions for serving others in a way that would make a long lasting difference in their lives, but she became a mentor and friend to me as well. She was the first person who taught me how to think outside the box in this industry by suggesting to me -"It's not why you joined us that counts...it's what you do to build your business that makes you successful!" She knew that the nightmare I had experienced with calling leads left a bad taste in my mouth and that I was unwilling to go down that path again...and although I was able to get a few friends and family members to join my organization, that wasn't enough to equate to a suitable income by any means. But still, Gail saw in me my true desire to succeed.

Then one day she suggested something new to me. "How do you feel about getting on line to pursue other alternative means to recruiting?" -and the door to a new way of empowering outside resources and options was then opened to me. Little did she or I know at the time that that suggestion would change the entire course and direction of my life -which in turn would lead me down the right path for promoting my Network Marketing business and products! This is exactly what I was referring to in the title of this article. Gail understood I didn't have a lot of money left to join her team and she knew my distain for "Pitching products" over the phone to a complete stranger. She knew I had spent months calling on leads and that even though I wasn't successful at winning the recruiting game on that level...I had the passion and drive to get beyond my fears and apprehensions.

She saw the potential; she saw my integrity and my vision for creating a massive wealth building and wealth generating down line around the idea of helping people and reminded me that it was all within my reach to accomplish. She responded with encouragement, praise and offered her assistance in any and every way I needed. Gail gave me hope, gave me reason to see why I deserved to succeed. Looked passed my trepidation, never got on my case when I fell back into fear and despair, and gently encouraged me to change my perspective and my mindset whenever the old ghosts began to haunt me again and she always got me back on track. So from all this experience what I have learned is how supporting our team members gains more loyalty than all the explaining about how to build their business ever will!
