Notice whether the door comes down with a force or stops just where you released it. Always lubricate its springs, rollers, pulleys and bearings every alternate month. Try noticing any faults or drawbacks. In case you come across any such fault or drawback, then arrange an immediate appointment with a garage door serviceman. Never try replacing the worn out springs and ball bearing on our own as you could injure yourself. Lubricate and oil all the important moving parts of the garage door regularly, so as to reduce any friction or resistance. One can also go through the owner's manual, which would usually include all the conventional do's and don'ts. Some owner's manual also have various trouble shooting tips and suggestions, which could help you out in case of an emergency. Regular tests and maintenance would ensure your garage door working smoothly, without any hassles and problems. Not repairing your garage door or ignoring its repairs would prove to be far more expensive, than buying or purchasing a new one.
