Bible colleges provide opportunities to gain academic education in a Christian environment. Most Bible colleges are moderate in size and offer small classes so that individuals become acquainted with fellow students and the faculty to make the educational experience more personal and meaningful. Students often develop life-long relationships in these settings. Bible colleges also provide opportunities to enhance spiritual and academic development through organized volunteer activities.

Bible colleges provide options for earning diplomas, certificates, and Associate of Arts (AA) and Bachelor of Arts (BA) degrees in areas of education, business, physical education, music, vocational ministry, theology, and counseling. These various options are designed to meet students' personal, professional, and spiritual goals.

Elementary teacher education degree programs in Bible colleges prepare students for teaching in Christian schools. Graduates will have mastered philosophies of elementary school education, lesson preparation, sound principles of Biblical interpretation, learning theory, and teaching methods. Some Bible colleges offer only ACSI certification to elementary education graduates. Students who wish to become state certified teachers may be able to work cooperatively on transfer programs to a traditional university or college.

Business administration education in Bible colleges will provide basic courses in accounting, finance, management, administration, ethics, and more. Graduates are prepared with middle management and leadership skills enhanced by Christian faith and values.

Ministry programs provide skills of ministry in local churches. Graduates are prepared through religious studies as well as Biblical and theological instruction for church and church-related leadership roles. Graduates of ministry programs will be qualified for practicing pastoral ministry, leadership, pastoral care, pastoral counseling, and management to fulfill church missions.

There are many regionally accredited Bible colleges to choose from in the United States. Many offer financial aid to qualified applicants.
