A Luxury Honeymoon In Grenada

Grenada is a lush island known to the world for its incredible abundance of spices. That's because it has more spices per square mile than anywhere else in the world; the entire island is at times swept with that delicious spicy smell. The island is a gorgeous tropical paradise, full of palm trees, bougainvillea, nutmeg, and oleander. Grenada relies on its natural beauty and perfect beaches to draw in the holidayers who might otherwise be swayed by the glamour of a few other Caribbean islands. Grenada is similarly perfect in its on and off season, as it's perfectly positioned to miss many of the off season storms which so often plague the other islands in the Caribbean. That means you are free to head there whenever you want, without worrying about crowds or rain, and can plan your wedding freely without worrying about when you can or can't go on your honeymoon.

Your days on Grenada can be completely relaxing, as you sit on the beach and luxuriate in your chosen island's peace, or full of adventure with an excursion into the interior of the islands. The country is made up of three small islands. Grenada is the main island, where you'll probably choose to stay, but the smaller islands of Carriacou and Petite Martinique are both equally stunning places to spend your holiday.

Accommodation in Grenada ranges from all-inclusive luxury resorts with selections of swimming pools and vast stretches of beach to small boutique hotels where you'll get plenty of personal attention and an intimate feel. While on your honeymoon, you will very likely be looking for privacy and romance, in which case your best option is Laluna, a sleepy yet romantic resort almost hidden away on 25 acres of land not too far away from the island's capital.
Because it's set slightly away from the most popular spots for tourists, it can provide the seclusion you need with excitement not too far away.

Laluna is known mainly for its understated luxury, with sumptuous cottages mixing Asian and Caribbean inspiration with classically romantic Italian touches. Each cottage has its own large veranda, with a 40 square foot plunge pool and amazing panoramic views of the gorgeous ocean. Even the toiletries you receive for free are luxurious; they are all hand-made in a monastery in the Italian Alps.

Outside of your private paradise, you'll enjoy delicious Italian food prepared by an Italian chef born and raised to the craft in the resort's Club House, which directly overlooks the beautiful white sand beach and deep blue ocean. For after dinner drinks, the appropriately named Sunset Bar will be your choice; it boasts an enormous wine selection and the ideal location to sit, relax, and enjoy yourselves.

When you're feeling a bit more active, you can head to the gym or take a yoga class, which is held in a dedicated yoga pavilion on the beach for that extra peaceful connection. The resort also boasts an Asian spa, which can cater for both individual and couples' spas. If you want to head out and about, Laluna offers mountain biking, snorkelling, hobie-cat sailing, and even kayaking. Grenada is a gorgeous island and it would be such a shame to miss out on the opportunity to have a look at it yourself.
